A Healthy Holiday
Rudolph won’t be the only one running through Riverside this December. Dash into the holidays at the Riverside Reindeer Run Half Marathon, 5k and Kids Run on Dec. 6, 2020. This scenic course will be sprinkled with a flurry of holiday cheer including carolers at the finish line, holiday decor, and Santa Claus appearances.
Every runner will also receive free commemorative Reindeer Antlers or a Santa Hat for the race in addition to a high-quality finisher’s medal, tech T-shirt, food, craft beer and free finish line photo. Don your best apparel, grab your best elves and get ready to run!
December marks the final 2020 LaceUp running event. It is a festive time in Riverside where the city is bustling around the Festival of Lights at the famous Mission Inn. The city sights and holiday happenings make this a race experience for the entire family.
Half Marathon
The Riverside Reindeer Run Half Marathon will begin and finish from beautiful Fairmount Park, just north of downtown Riverside, CA. Holiday racers will run west out of Fairmount Park and past Lake Evans before turning on Redwood Ave. Runners will follow the Santa Ana River Trail in the shadows of Mt. Rubidoux and run past Ryan Bonaminio Park.
Runners will leave the Santa Ana River trail briefly and run through a peaceful residential neighborhood. After returning to the Santa Ana River Trail, racers will run to Anza Narrows Park, with great views of the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge. Runners will turn around here, and return to Fairmount Park on the Santa Ana River Trail. When you arrive at the expo area, relax and enjoy one of the many LaceUp Running Series perks – you’ve earned it.

Please Note: There is a four-hour time limit on the Half Marathon course. Participants need to maintain an 18:20 minute/mile.
5K
The Riverside Reindeer Run 5K will begin and finish from beautiful Fairmount Park, just north of downtown Riverside, CA. Holiday racers will run west out of Fairmount Park and past Lake Evans before turning on Redwood Ave and running through a peaceful residential area. Runners will then turn onto Mission Ave. and return to Fairmount Park on the Santa Ana River Trail.
Get excited to see Santa after the race! Upon crossing the finish, runners will hear carolers and enter an expo area loaded with LaceUp Running Series holiday perks.

Note: 5K course time limit is 1 hour. This is a 19:20 pace, great for walkers and runners.
Kids Run
If you’re excited about running, your kids will be, too! Help them learn about the joys of running by entering them into the Kids Run. Registration is just $20 per child and includes a race bib, finisher’s medal and event t-shirt. Parents are welcome to run alongside their kids or cheer for them at the start/finish line.
Runners will leave the expo area and run through Fairmont park and onto the race course. Kids will run approximately 1K before running through the official Riverside Reindeer Run finish arch and returning to cheering families and friends!
Don’t forget to check out the Kids Zone in the Health & Fitness Expo Area for games, tattoos (one thousand glitter tattoos!), coloring, hula hoops, and much more!

Run Kids Run
LaceUp’s Kids Runs are held in partnership with Run Kids Run. Run Kids Run organizes non-competitive active events for young people as part of larger-scale events like marathons, triathlons, and bike races. Children can become members of our YAY TEAM to receive monthly updates on upcoming events and earn rewards for participating in the activities we host.

What happens if the race is canceled?
LaceUp Running Series reserves the right to cancel any race due to weather, air quality or other natural factors outside of our control.
In the event of a cancellation, participants will be notified via email, text and social media. Participants will have the option to defer their entry to another race in the same year (if applicable), transfer to a race the following year or donate their entry fee to a local non-profit. If transferring their entry to another race, participants will receive a code equal to the amount of their original payment to use on a future entry. How do I earn a challenge medal?
All LaceUp runners must complete a race of any distance all three locations. In addition to individual location medals, each challenge runner will receive a limited edition LaceUp Running Series Challenge medal after the completion of all four races. Learn more about the challenge medal.

Where can I get my results?
Will there be aid stations on course?
What is the time limit on the course?
There is a four-hour time limit on the Half Marathon courses. Participants need to maintain a 18:20 minute/mile pace. Participants that fall behind the time limit will be directed to the sidewalk by course staff or police officers. Participants will be allowed to finish the race but will not be guaranteed a finishing time.
Can I pick up my packet on race day?
It’s highly recommended that athletes stop by our pre-race packet pick up, but packet pick up will be available on race day. If you need to pick up your packet on race day you must purchase race day packet pick-up with your registration for an additional $5. Come early, because packet pick up will close 30 minutes before each race.
What if I cannot finish the race?
Where can I check my gear during the event?
Can I transfer my entry?
Entry fees can be transferred to another participant in the same race of the same calendar year. Any difference of fees will be charged, plus a $10 processing fee. Entries can also be transferred to another LaceUp Running Series location, during the same calendar year. If transferring to another location, a request must be made three days before the event the participant was originally registered.
What are the age group categories?
Age group categories are 9 and under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+. Age group prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group. If an age group category above 85 has 5 or more participants, an age group prize will be awarded. Overall winners will not qualify for age group prizes.
Prizes can be picked up at the Awards Podium at the race. If you forgot to pick up your age group award on-site, email info@laceuprunningseries.com. Age group awards will be shipped for the cost of shipping.
