IRVINE, California — More than 850 racers met here on Saturday to take part in the Lexus LaceUp Running Series presented by Equinox.

The third event of a four-part series in Southern California included a Half Marathon, 10k and 5k. The fast and windy Irvine course had racers start in Mike Ward Community Park before meandering along the San Diego Creek and throughout downtown.

The race conditions were perfect, as the morning started out cool and dewy before eventually warming up and becoming sunny, making it a great day to race and spectate. All racers-from 5k to Half Marathon-enjoyed receiving high quality Road Runner Sports brand race tech Tees, a finisher’s medal that also doubles as a stylish beverage coaster and a post race party with live music by Dig the Kid and The Skariginals for runners to recharge after racing. A Keurig coffee roaster was available onsite, and racers were treated to on-site food trucks to refuel.

Vendors at the Health & Fitness Expo provided great sample products and post-race activities including the Equinox stretching tent with foam rollers and massages.

Presenting the overall results of the second of four Lexus LaceUp 2014 events. Photos from the event can be viewed here.
