Irvine Hosts the First Stop of the Lexus LaceUp Running Series presented by Saucony
Registration is Open for all Four Race Locations and the LaceUp Challenge
The Lexus LaceUp Running Series presented by Saucony is pleased to return to Irvine, CA, for the first race of the 2015 series on October 17, 2015 at Mike Ward Community Park. This stop will offer 10k and 5k distances on the city’s scenic running paths which are fast, flat and ideal to set personal record times. The premier running series will also return to Ventura (Oct. 24), Palos Verdes (Nov. 14) and Riverside (Dec. 6). Registration is now open for all race locations and distances (learn more). To capitalize on the “Earliest Bird” pricing for Irvine, register before June 30.
“I’m incredibly pleased to be back in Irvine for the 2015 series,” said Event Director Becky Hall. “We have worked closely with the city to offer an excellent experience for LaceUp participants with a minimal impact on city residents. LaceUp is different from other running races because we include four separate race locations in the Los Angeles region.”
A new Lexus LaceUp Running Series Challenge invites participants to run any distance at all four locations to receive an additional series medal. Runners must finish each race and will receive a 20% discount by registering for the challenge. Registration for the Challenge will open June 1. Learn more about it here. Runners who have already registered for a LaceUp race and are interested in participating in the LaceUp Challenge should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Registration is currently open for all four races and includes chip timing, real-time results, a free finish line photo, tech T-shirt, custom bib, high quality finisher’s medal for all racers and more. The LaceUp Half Marathon, 10k and 5k races are Southern California’s premier running series that includes a Sierra Nevada beer toast and local food-truck brunch in a lively event hub with music.
LaceUp is proud to partner with local non-profit organizations in each city. Non-profit partners include Back on My Feet of Greater Los Angeles, FOOD Share of Ventura County, Riverside Road Runners, and the Kiwanis of Rolling Hills Estates. The series is brought to runners by Lexus Southern California Dealers Association in conjunction with Saucony, Los Angeles Magazine, Orange Coast Magazine, Clif Bar, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Road Runner Sports and Nuun.
