Can I defer my 2022 registration to 2023?

Unfortunately, no. At this point in time, there are no plans for 2023 races.

I purchased race insurance. Can I receive a full refund?

Unfortunately, no. Race insurance is only valid when individuals need to withdraw from a race for personal reasons. However, if you have purchased event registration insurance for a race and have a question or claim, please contact Allianz Global Assistance.

How do I recieve my refund?

Refunds will be processed automatically by Run Sign Up. You should see the refund back on your account in one billing cycle. If you do not see the refund for any reason, please email

I thought you didn’t offer refunds – what changed?

The LaceUp Series has a policy where we never offer refunds. We only allow participants to defer their registration or transfer their entries. However, this is an entirely different situation, as we are not offering any future races or the option for participants to defer.

Why are refunds 50%?

The reality is that the majority of race fees have already been spent. Long before a race begins, race fees are allocated to permitting, insurance, staffing, marketing and so on. Like most race organizers, the loses and effects from cancelations due to COVID-19 were significant. We appreciate your understanding in this difficult scenario.


Event Cancellation Policy

**2022 Update: All races are canceled. Participants will be automatically receiving a 50% refund.**

LaceUp reserves the right to cancel any race for any reason.

In the event of a cancellation, participants will be notified via email. Participants will have the option to defer their entry to another race in the same year (if applicable) or transfer to a race the following year. If transferring their entry to another race, participants will receive a code equal to the amount of their original payment to use on a future entry.
